A collective of transformational artists, community catalysts, storytellers and guides of all ages called to heal and elevate a broken culture.
While we come from different worlds and carry distinct gifts, we all share two things in common: we are the connective tissue within our respective communities and we share a vision for a whole and healed humanity.
We are artists, conveners, community builders, facilitators, healers, creative entrepreneurs, storytellers, activists, producers, designers. Many of us have catalyzed social movements and transformative initiatives. Many of us have been tending to our inner landscape and patiently incubating visions.
Deep down, we feel more than most. We are misfits, wounded healers and tricksters, maladjusted in a beautiful broken world. We are multidimensional in nature, the keepers of the Soul and all that makes us human. Sometimes we succumb to the weight and contradictions we carry. On our best days, we are beautiful trouble makers. And when thick clouds hover above us for a moment or a season, existential doubts and anxiety become our most intimate friend. Wild visions we don’t want to deny call our hearts and move us on our knees. And for all of that, we need each other. There is such power in becoming each other’s sacred mirror. Midwife. Friends. Creative collaborators. So we can re-member who we are. Experience the healing and empowering gift of safe and trusted companionship. And ultimately, trust the symbiotic gift of our evolutionary nature as we walk together through the fire with dignity, courage and love.

WHY IMAGINALIA?
In the midst of ecological, social, economic & political unravelling, life is calling forth a way of being that is heart, soul and ecocentric.
As creative healers and transformational artists we carry unique perspectives, a relational sensibility and intuitive gifts that have always been vital to human flourishing. Although we have historically been undermined, undervalued and even persecuted, we know the critical role we play in turning the tide towards a beautiful future for all.
It is time we come together and down who we really are. It is time we trust ourselves to bring our potent voices, wisdom, imagination, and creativity to the forefront.
We see ourselves as part of an emerging wave of community leaders who have the power to redefine how we live, care for one another, educate our children and harness creative expression.
Imaginalia invites us to step into a mythos that meets these times - one that is rooted in trust, belonging, imagination, deep connection to the earth and Spirit, while fostering wellbeing.
We are committed to support the healing and flourishing of transformational artists and women in service to our collective liberation, placing life at the center of our altar. Imaginalia provides the the fertile ground for artists to grow as transformational leaders, renew, heal, deepen their relationship to the earth and spirit, and co-create from a deep source within.
OUR APPROACH
Imaginalia’s somatic and mindfulness-based approach is our response to the questions:
What does it take to call ourselves home in our bodies and reclaim our most authentic creative healing power? How does healing from trauma, the sense of belonging, creativity, and beauty connect?
What wants to be created authentically through me as I feel more whole, embodied, deepen my root system, and surrender to the vast creative power of the Great Mystery.
What is the most life-giving context in which womxn and artists can heal, grow and create from authentically - alone and together?
What is dreaming me and wants to be expressed creatively through me as I lean into my aches and longings amidst so much oppression, beauty, heartbreaking division and profound potential for synergy and coherence with all of lie?
THE ROOTS OF OUR NAME: IMAGINALIA
“ To better understand the opportunity hidden in today’s crisis, consider the tale of another world in transition. Imagine you are a single cell among millions that comprise a growing caterpillar. The structure around you has been operating like a well-oiled machine, and the larva world has been creeping along predictably. Then one day, the machine begins to shudder and shake. The system begins to fail. Cells begin to commit suicide. There is a sense of darkness and impending doom.
From within the dying population, a new breed of cells begins to emerge, called imaginal cells (aka YOU!). Clustering in community, they devise a plan to create something entirely new from the wreckage. Out of the decay arises a great flying machine—a butterfly—that enables the survivor cells to escape from the ashes and experience a beautiful world, far beyond imagination. Here is the amazing thing: the caterpillar and the butterfly have the exact same DNA. They are the same organism, but are receiving and responding to different organizing signals.
That is where we are today. When we read the newspaper and watch the evening news, we see the media reporting a decaying caterpillar world. And yet everywhere, you and other human imaginal cells are awakening to a new possibility. We are clustering, communicating, and tuning into a new, coherent signal of love.”
