I see courage, tenderness, resilience and vulnerability. I also see an opportunity to midwife yourself, your Soul, as you face one of the most transformative times of your life. The journey into motherhood can be disorienting, even discombobulating. And this is why we do this kind of work in community. We need the guides, the mirrors and the safe and supportive context to rebalance our lives and rebirth our sense of knowing and identity. Beyond this 9-months threshold, you will be reborn a new, like a butterfly emerging from her chrysalis, living a new story.

Imaginalia’s Rite of Passage is a creative leadership program that offers expectant mamas the favorable context to flourish out of this life changing transition, well supported by community. It is an invitation to dive deep into exploring who you really are, and help feel better resourced as a woman, a mother, a partner and a leader. Rooted in the exploration of female archetypes, healing arts, women circles, rituals and consciousness studies, this program will help deepen your roots so you can rise higher and shine brighter in this new stage of life. SOUL STORY QUEST
We will work with the power of stories and archetypes as a path of initiation. As part of this course we will return to the roots of some of past initiations that marked your life, chosen and unchosen, and articulate Wisdom stories meant to deeper integrate the sacredness of your soul journey.

A Mythic Story that reveals you
Fridays, 1:30pm-6pm, beginning January 24th.
Pregnant mamas, you are invited to express yourself authentically as work of art, embodied prayer & poetry.
Each Friday of February and March, a new archetypal theme will be explored, captured & celebrated in the spirit of honoring this grand Rite of passage.
The process is organic, liberating and intuitive. We favor naturalness over posing. We favor truth, vulnerability, resilience & mystery. We are committed to follow the magic.
The flow will include 3 parts: a morning circle at 9:30AM: a specific archetypal exploration of who you are on your journey of motherhood. This will set up the foundation that will inform the creative concept. We’ll break for lunch for 75 min. Some women only committed to the circle will part ways whereas those who signed up to the photoshoot will re-gather at 1:30pm. After lunch, we’ll focus our intention, explore creative concepts, dress in an attire that speaks to you, and then prepare your look based on the creative direction. From 4-6pm, we’ll head to a beautiful place at the heart of nature near Topanga and play with light, shadow as we move and play.
Expect this photoshoot experience being a liberating space to play, be surprised and open to the great mystery. You’ll be invited to go as light or deep as what feels right to you.
Protocol for participation: Fill up the application at least 10 days prior to shooting date by clicking below. Commit to attend the full day and arrive on time. Listen to a preparation zoom call prior to the session. Sign terms of agreement form. Note that the photoshop is by invitation. Applying doesn’t insure your participation. Women in their 3rd trimester will be prioritized. We’re committed to be inclusive. Up to 5 women will be invited to take part to each photoshoot experience. Women are allowed to attend one or more photoshoot, based on availability.

How it Works
This program is self-paced. You begin when the time is right for you, and though each module is dispersed over a season, you are invited to spend as much time with each layer of things that feels right for you before moving on.

What’s a Rite of Passage?
It is a ceremony that marks the transition from one phase of life to another; a special time where the butterfly within you is honored and celebrate as your emerge out of the chrysalis.
What lineages informed this body of work?
While this work in non-denominational, it is informed by several lineages Magalie Bonneau as studied over the past 20 years including Somatic Wilderness Reflection Rites of Passage program, Dancing Freedom by Samantha Sweetwater, meditation, The Coaches Training Institute Coaching Curriculum, the Gene Keys by Richard Rudd, the Work that Reconnect by Joanna Macy, shamanic work and Dancing Without Borders’ work and the Way of Council with Gigi Coyle.

Is the program inclusive to LGTQI community?
This course is welcoming to all people who are parents gestating babies and identify as women, including queer and trans folks, couples, and individuals.
Is there a pre-requisite to take part of this work ?
While this program offers a unique focus on preparing the passage into motherhood, the online program is available to people of all gender seeking resources along their personal journey of personal and spiritual growth. The “in person” program is available by application for those who identify as women and expect a baby or raise a child under 4 years of age.
